Goal 98 is a quiz-style game dedicated to football knowledge inspired by the old SIC program "Os Donos da Bola". It features 7500 questions arranged in varied difficulty levels from 1 to 5, depending on the number of footballers present in the ball line and depending on the selected tactic. There is also a limited response time.
It is possible to play in Friendly mode or Championship and allows two players simultaneously, both on the same CPU and over network or "modem".
The money obtained in the game can be used to make transfers, sales or purchases, although only in championship mode.
The game was the first title developed by Bimotor Software and was officially licensed by the Portuguese Professional Football League, with the newspaper "A Bola" providing all the photos used.
