RockStar, is an action-packed, graphics-rich JAVA game where the player takes on the role of Joe RockStar, a part-time struggling musician who free-lances as an astronaut to pay the bills. What really rocks him, though, is performing for freaky alien crowds with his groovy backing vocals, The Supernovas.
On his first historic adventure, RockStar is trapped inside a blazing volcano trying to gather glowing crystals to be used as improvised lighting for his upcoming concert. Players have to blow up fireballs with a liquid nitrogen gun, dodge lava drops, collect minerals, survive a volcano eruption and plunge into flaming pools of lava in order to get out of there in one piece.
YDreams announced the intention of developing several adventures based on the RockStar character, which would be available for download at the Vodafone Live! portal.
As a special promotion for Vodafone Live! portuguese customers, RockStar was available for download free of charge until the November 30 of 2002.
