Game
Human Nature
2002

Game developed by Paulo Ferreira, between 2000 and 2002, never finished nor released. In his own words:

"The idea of making Human Nature came from the curiosity of answering the question: How do you make a 3D game in C/C++? The project never ended for several reasons: programming games was never my main activity, I had major gaps in 3D modeling, the computer I had at the time was very limited and didn't allow me to do very complicated things, yet the game had a very simple particle system, it had lightmaps, it had doors, 3D sound, transparencies, collisions, raycasting and other things that I was learning and programming."

"The game was my work, of course the character models were 'picked' from the net, but the sounds are mine, at least the part of the NPC coughing. The story was the typical action movie from the 80s/90s, a secret agent and an evil corporation. I still tried to find someone to help with the sounds and music but in Viseu, at that time, it wasn't easy. The project was left like this for several reasons: I became a father, I took on other responsibilities at the school where I worked, I lost interest, etc."
